I work closely with Ben at WoodSmoke Yurts. We met over 12 years ago and with our work experience gained through music and arts, festivals and corporate events, private parties and tent making we've collaborated our businesses and combined our skills to create fantastic venues for special occasions. We are based in Somerset and offer yurt hire, including other wedding yurt hire services such as dance floor and bars to weddings and events throughout the U.K.
The SkyBarn Wedding Yurt is available to hire. It is an elongated stretched yurt. It measures 9m x 18m (30ft x 60ft), complete with a full canvas cover and huge skylight, flooding the space in natural light by day and starry skies at night. The Sky barn is stunning on its own, or we can conjoin smaller wedding yurts to any of it's four doorways. This allows for a reception space to welcome your guests, a catering tent, and also our Yurt Saloon, a stylishly decked out bar as well as our Yurt Lounge. We offer marquee hire in Somerset and beyond with a difference.
With the help from WoodSmoke Yurts our tents are all lovingly made in our workshop by sourcing local timber from a managed woodland near Glastonbury, Somerset. The ash trees are cut responsibly allowing for continuous coverage in the canopy, minimalising any disturbance to the flora beneath it. We design and manufacture all of our unique alternative wedding tents outselves. Check in with us today for all your wedding yurt hire needs. The awesome SkyBarn Yurt is an elongated yurt, big & bright. Most folks walk in & liken it to a tardis. Capable of seating 164 guests.
We have some 18ft (5.5m) yurts that are large enough to create spacious spaces, typically a lounge / chill-out space, a bar area or a creche / play space.
We usually use our cute littel 12ft yurt as a space to welcome guests with a glass of bubbly, or a box of ice filled with soft drinks. The Welcome yurt can be used as a porch, to display the seating plan, to post cards & leave gifts.

We love the little bits that go a long way, like our little red kettle being used as a quirky vase, along with a little piece of Welsh slate with some love poetry by 'A Lovin' Spoonful'.
Our lovely cedar tables & benches compliment the yurts perfectly. Each set seats 6 guests with plenty of room to stretch.
